The End of an Era: Saying Goodbye to the OC x Style Hype Patch Collaboration
At the end of last year, right before my fourth operation in just eighteen months, I received news that completely knocked me down.
The OC x Style Hype patch collaboration was coming to an end.
If you’ve been part of the Organising Chaos community for a while, you’ll know how big a part those patches became. What started as a just a collab slowly grew into something much bigger. They became a core part of the brand and a way for so many of you to bring colour, personality and confidence to the diabetic devices you wear every day.
Because of that, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to Katie over at Style Hype. This collaboration meant a lot to me and to Organising Chaos as a brand. Over the years we created so much together and built something that genuinely resonated with the diabetes community.
You may have noticed that patch designs and restocks have been noticeably quiet recently. The truth is, that’s because the collaboration ended last year but I simply wasn’t ready to fully talk about it yet.
At the time the news arrived, I was already navigating an incredibly difficult season. Surgery, illness, recovery and burnout had already taken a lot out of me. Hearing that the partnership would be ending felt like one more thing collapsing at once.
For a while, I genuinely thought this might be the thing that broke Organising Chaos. In a time when I was already struggling to give the business the time and energy it needed.
There were tears, a lot of fear and that very loud inner voice that small business owners know all too well, the one that tells you everything is about to fall apart.
Since then, many of you have messaged asking when patches would be restocked or when new designs might be coming. If you’ve received slightly vague or elusive answers from me, now you know why. Part of me just wasn’t ready to fully accept that this chapter was closing.
I also know how many of you have come to rely on these patches. I’ve seen how much they mean in everyday life with diabetes. They help sensors stay put, they add personality to devices that are otherwise very medical and for many of you they’ve become part of your routine. I know they will be missed by a lot of people.
And that’s part of why this moment deserves to be acknowledged properly.
Over the past few months, I’ve been quietly processing what this change means for Organising Chaos. With a bit of time, space and a lot of behind-the-scenes problem solving, something that once felt like an ending has slowly started to feel like a turning point.
But before we step into whatever comes next, we need to close this chapter.

This sale is partly about making space for the future, but it’s also a bit of a send-off for a collaboration that meant so much to this brand and to the community that grew around it.

One chapter of Organising Chaos is closing.
And while that can feel bittersweet, it also means there’s room for the next one to begin.
