A Little Life Update (from your very tired, two-armed octopus)

A Little Life Update (from your very tired, two-armed octopus)

If things have felt a little quieter than usual around here, I just wanted to pop on and share a bit of a life update.

Behind the scenes, it’s been… a lot.

I’ve been joking that I feel like an octopus juggling a million things at once, except sadly I don’t have eight arms. I have two. And right now, they are very tired.

If you’ve been following my journey for a while, you’ll know that in the last 2 years, I went through four surgeries and a medical procedure. I really thought that chapter was closing and that I’d be able to move forward feeling a bit more like myself again.

But unfortunately, my poor health has followed me straight into 2026, and I’m now heading in for another medical procedure next week.

That alone has been a lot to process, but it’s also meant the past few weeks have felt incredibly intense. There’s been this underlying pressure to get everything sorted, planned and prepped… just in case I need time to properly step back and recover.

At the same time, losing my diabetic device patch supplier has meant I’ve had to completely rethink a huge part of the business. (Shop the Device Patch SALE) What that’s looked like is a lot of late nights, a lot of problem-solving and a lot of behind-the-scenes work trying to build something new and sustainable moving forward, whilst being unwell.

It’s been stressful, overwhelming and if I’m honest… at times it has felt like too much.

Because when you layer all of that with living with type one diabetes every single day, and running a small business that you care so deeply about, it can feel really heavy.

But we keep going…

Not in a toxic “push through everything” kind of way, but in a gentle, one-step-at-a-time kind of way. The kind where some days are productive and some days are just about getting through and that’s enough.

There is something really exciting coming from all of this chaos and I can’t wait to share it with you properly when the time feels right. It’s been built with so much care and intention, even on the hardest days.

And as always, I just want to say thank you.

To my diabuddies, my community, my people… you are the reason Organising Chaos is still here. You’ve supported me through every high and low and I don’t take that for granted for a second.

You’re not just customers. You’re the heartbeat of this little business and the reason I keep showing up, even when things feel hard.

I’m always cheering you on, just like you cheer me on.

And for now, I’m giving myself permission to be a slightly overwhelmed, slightly emotional, very tired two-armed octopus… doing her best.
